How do I place an order?
If you would rather place an order direct instead of purchasing a MacPherson Guitar from an authorised dealer, then ordering is very simple. If you are interested in custom options on any of the models shown on this site, or have something completely different in mind, please contact us via email with your requirements and questions. You will then be contacted to discuss design specifications, options, material availability, etc. Also, don't forget to check out what's currently available from the webstore as you may find what you're looking for without the wait time of a custom order. How much will it cost?
Once the design, specifications and hardware options have been agreed in principle, an estimate to make the instrument can then be offered. If you would like to purchase one of the guitar models with standard specifications (i.e. The Nomad) the prices will be similar to those shown on this website.
Costs for different wood species, hardware, pickups etc vary greatly in price - so it's important to be as specific as you can about what you want.
Is a deposit required and how do I pay?
A deposit of 25% of the total estimated amount will be required to secure the order once the specifications have been finalised.
If required, an easy payment arrangement can be set up for custom orders at no additional cost. This enables you to spread the cost whilst your instrument is being made., payments can then be made in agreed installments to suit you with the last payment coinciding with the completion of the instrument. Payments can be made by cash, E-transfer, or international bank transfer. Payments via Credit Card or PayPal are also acceptable but will incur additional fees.
Please note; Paying in full upon placing the order or paying off instalments prior to the completion of the ordered instrument is not expected, requested or recommended – this does not get the order pushed forward or completed any sooner.
How long will I have to wait for my guitar?
The completion time depends entirely on what you’ve ordered and what the material and hardware requirements are. Some instruments take far longer than others to make and the completion time also depends on the workload in the shop at the time of your order, paying a deposit to secure an order does not mean work on your instrument starts immediately. Certain materials and hardware need to be sourced from overseas suppliers, shipping times and customs delays need to be considered with materials/hardware always being subject to availability. Once you have decided on the specifications, an estimated delivery time can be given but this is an estimate only, MacPherson Guitars cannot and will not give delivery time guarantees or work to imposed deadlines.
